RESTORATIVE HERB BLEND
A Formula of herb powders designed to support and nourish the Immune and Endocrine systems in particular, with emphasis also on the respiratory, nervous and cardiovascular systems. Place 4 –6 Tablespoons of blend in a jar with 1 Tablespoon molasses and/ or honey to make a thick paste, plus 1-2 teaspoons Ghee and ½ teaspoon of royal jelly (optional). Dose is ½-1 teaspoon of this paste 2-3 times a day for 1-3 months. Or simply stir ½ to 1 teaspoon powder into water or juice 2x/day.
Siberian Ginseng root- Broad spectrum endocrine restorative/ regulator/ protective/ adaptogen. Antioxidant, nerve restorative, sense enhancer, immune enhancer. Metabolic restorative/ regulator , balances the endocrine system. Pancreas regulator, musculoskeletal restorative, reproductive restorative, neurocardia sedative, radiation –protective.
Ashwagandha root ( Withania somnifera)- Tonic, rejuvenative, aphrodisiac, nervine, sedative, astringent; “It is the best rejuvenative herb, particularly for the muscles, marrow and semen. It is used in all conditions of weakness, and tissue deficiency in children, the elderly, those debilitated by chronic diseases, and those suffering from overwork lack of sleep or nervous exhaustion”. Shatavari is perhaps best known as a female rejuvenative. It is useful for infertility, decreased libido, threatened miscarriage, menopause, and leucorrhea and has the ability to balance pH in the cervical area. Dry membranes, such as those on the vaginal wall, are also brought into balance through the herbs demulcent action. Useful for hyperacidity, stomach ulcers, dysentery, and bronchial infections.
Astragalus root For treating deficiency conditions or digestive dysfunction. It is shown to enhance cellular metabolism, thereby making more energy available on the cellular and individual levels. It is a liver restorative, adrenocorticol restorative, adaptogen and immune enhancer. Used with evening exhaustion, poor endurance and motivation, frequent or chronic infections, malaise, fatigue, dry skin, appetite and weight loss, loose stool- another superb energy tonic.
Codonopsis root Gastro-intestinal restorative, sweet digestant, nutritive, liver restorative, antacid, antisecretory ( anti-ulcer), respiratory restorative, immune enhancer…considered “poor man’s ginseng”, used when frequent or chronic infections, fatigue, also considered a blood builder.
Ho Show Wu root Known for it’s restorative actions on the urogenital, muscular and nervous systems. Nervous and cerebral restorative, used with sleep disorders and depression- considered a nervous trophorestorative, directly nourishing to nerve tissue ( used in this way for Kidney essence deficiency). Anti- bacterial, antiviral, interferon inducer, immune enhancer, antioxidant, aging retardant; used with cerebral and nervous deficiency with mental and physical fatigue, depression, chronic fatigue, nervous breakdown, neurasthenia, sleep disorder, muscular/skeletal restorative- weak back and knees, lymphatic decongestant.
Hawthorne berries An excellent heart restorative for all organic heart disorders….it is recognized as a heart trophorestorative, having restoring and stimulating actions on the heart and on coronary and arterial circulation- the net result is a regulating effect on the whole cardiovascular system.
