Preparing a Glycerite from an Alcohol based Herbal Extract:

Directions:

1. Place the alcohol herb extract into a small stainless steel or glass pan.

2. Add the same amount of non-chlorinated water to this.

3. Place a flame tamer over your burner- whether gas or electric.

4. Place the pan containing the alcohol herbal extract and water on the
flame tamer.

5. Using the lowest setting you have, begin to very gently heat the blend
of extract and water until you have reduced the amount to 75% of the
original amount.

For example:

For a 4 ounce bottle: Add 4 ounces of non-chlorinated water to the 4
ounce bottle of your original alcohol herbal extract. You now have 8
ounces. Slowly, gently, cook this down to 3 ounces of liquid. Let this
cool. Add 1 ounce of organic vegetable glycerin.

Pour into bottle and shake. Your herbal glycerite is ready to use. Same
dosage as original alcohol based herbal extract.

For an 8 ounce bottle: Add 8 ounces of non-chlorinated water to the 8
ounce bottle of your original alcohol herbal extract. You now have 16
ounces. Slowly, gently, cook this down to 6 ounces of liquid. Let this
cool. Add 2 ounce of organic vegetable glycerin.

Pour into bottle and shake. Your herbal glycerite is ready to use. Same
dosage as original alcohol based herbal extract.
