An herbal extract (tincture) is a preparation in which the active principles of an herb are extracted into alcohol. This concentrates and preserves the medicinal qualities of the herb. We grow most of the freshly gathered plants we use in preparing our extracts or wildcraft from pristine areas throughout New England and the Adirondack region of New York. Each plant is joyfully harvested in season with respect and gratitude for its gift of life and healing.

Occasionally, we use plants that are unavailable to us in the northeast region. These herbs are carefully gathered by knowledgable herbalists and shipped fresh or dried depending on the herb.

The extraction process takes place through a minimum of two lunar cycles to assure proper potency. Simple to store and use, extracts provide a convenient and effective herbal preparation.

Dental Care

HERBAL GUM RINSE

Tones and strengthens gum tissue, prevents plaque and cavities, and freshens breath. Prepared with Echinacea purpurea, Spilanthes leaf and flower, White Oak bark, Calendula flowers, Plantain leaf and Myrrh gum extracted in organic grain alcohol and distilled water with Bloodroot extract and essential oil of Peppermint added.

Restorative Herb Blend

A deeply nourishing, endocrine supportive blend of herbs to restore balance and well-being. Contains: Siberian Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Astragalus and Codonopsis Roots, Ho Show Wu, Hawthorne berries, Rehmania Root and Ginger Root. Place 4-6 Tbs. of blend in a jar with enough honey to make a thick paste, plus 1/2 tsp. royal jelly (optional)

Woodland Mushrooms - Liquid Extracts

Mushrooms have a very special place in a forest ecology. The medicinal mushrooms we collect live on trees which they help to break down. In the process of decomposing the tree fiber, these mushrooms absorb many of the trace minerals and other nutrients held in the host tree. The Reishi and Turkey Tails are known as polypores, while the shitake is a gilled mushroom and the Chaga is a sterile conk. Mushrooms have a long history of use as food and medicine throughout the world, and are currently being investigated for use in many health concerns we are faced with in this present time. Deep Immune Tonic

This blend of mushrooms and roots is based on a traditional Chinese Fu Zheng formula and is designed to support, enliven and strengthen the immune system.
